Shipping & Delivery
Cold-Chain Logistics Policy
Scope
This policy describes how orders placed with Shandong Plurvel Medical Technology Co.,Ltd ("we", "us") are prepared, shipped and delivered, and what to do on arrival. It should be read with our Terms & Conditions, which govern risk transfer, and our After-sales & Returns Policy, which governs claims and remedies.
Order preparation and lead time
Consignments are dispatched from our facility in Qufu, Shandong, China. Lead time depends on whether goods are drawn from released stock or produced to order, and on the documentation the destination market requires. Typical lead times are confirmed on the proforma invoice and are estimates based on conditions at the time of order.
Where an order requires market-specific labelling, artwork approval or registration documentation, production begins after those are confirmed. Delays in approval extend the lead time accordingly.
Export documentation
Consignments are accompanied by the commercial documentation required for export and import, which depending on the product and market may include the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and the applicable product documentation such as a certificate of analysis and safety data sheet. Air shipment of the relevant products is supported by a transport classification report.
Documentation is prepared for the product as supplied. Import licensing, registration and any local authorised representative requirement in the destination market are the responsibility of the importing party.
Shipping method and cold chain
Temperature-controlled products are shipped by air freight using insulated packaging and refrigerant selected for the expected transit profile and season. Shipments of this kind include a temperature data logger so that the transit record accompanies the consignment and can be read on arrival.
Where the destination market or product requires it, we use carriers experienced in temperature-controlled pharmaceutical and medical device freight. Carrier selection is confirmed for each consignment and stated on the shipping documents.
Cold chain integrity depends on every step of the journey, including the last leg. Please arrange onward handling after arrival so that the labelled storage conditions are maintained from the point of receipt.
Incoterms and risk transfer
The Incoterms 2020 rule that applies to a consignment is stated on the quotation and order confirmation. Risk in the goods passes to the receiving party at the point defined by that rule, and not necessarily on physical delivery.
Common arrangements include carriage paid to a named place, where risk transfers when the goods are handed to the first carrier, and delivered duty paid, where we remain responsible for carriage, import clearance and duties to the named destination. Please confirm before ordering which arrangement you need, and note that the applicable rule affects who bears a loss occurring in transit.
Unless an Incoterm is stated, risk passes when we hand the consignment to the carrier.
Insurance
Cargo insurance is not included unless the agreed Incoterm requires it or it is expressly stated on the quotation. Cold chain loss can be significant, so we recommend arranging insurance appropriate to the value and temperature sensitivity of the consignment where risk during carriage rests with you.
Arrival inspection
Please inspect each consignment on arrival, before the packaging is discarded and before the goods are moved into storage. A short, systematic check catches most problems while the evidence is still available.
- Check the outer carton for damage, moisture or signs of a temperature excursion.
- For a logged shipment, read the temperature data logger and retain the record.
- Confirm that the quantity and product received match the packing list.
- Record the batch number on each unit against your receiving records.
- Photograph the packaging and contents if anything appears wrong.
Reporting a delivery problem
The verification windows that apply on arrival are set out in our After-sales & Returns Policy. In summary:
- Temperature or cold chain issue — within 48 hours of delivery, with the data logger record and arrival photographs.
- Damage, shortage or wrong item — within 7 calendar days of delivery, with the packing list and photographs.
- Visible or material quality defect — within 30 calendar days of delivery.
Send delivery problem reports to [email protected] and copy our sales contact for the account. Because conditions during and after carriage cannot be reconstructed later, reports outside these windows cannot normally be accepted unless the circumstances are documented.
Delays and customs
Transit times are estimates. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs clearance, inspection, or events beyond our reasonable control, but we will assist with the documentation needed to resolve a clearance or inspection issue. Clearing the goods through import in the destination market is the responsibility of the importing party unless the agreed Incoterm places it with us.
Restricted destinations
We may decline or hold a shipment where the destination market requirements cannot be met, where documentation cannot be completed, or where a regulatory or trade restriction applies to the product or the destination. Where this affects an existing order we will notify you and agree the next step.
